Where Did PHP Come From?
It was a Danish programmer named Rasmus Lerdorf who wrote PHP as a set of CGI (Common Gateway Interface) binaries in the C programming language. His reason? To display his reume on his web page and to collect data on how much traffic his web page was getting. It was publicly released on 8 June 1995.
